Our services
WSN has worked with Tend for close to seven years, and their support has been instrumental in our growth and stability. Tend guided us in our fundraising as we transitioned from the Retail Action Network to a provincial organization, and stood with us through the uncertainty of a global pandemic. They have secured more than $2 million in funding to strengthen services for precarious workers across BC.

Frequently asked questions
What are Tend’s success rates? Can you guarantee a certain level of success for our applications?
It’s difficult to forecast specific success rates, given that each client is eligible for a different set of grants and aligns with funders’ priorities differently. Each client’s work requires a tailored strategy to maximize their alignment with funders. While our overall success rate across our entire partner portfolio is higher than the industry average, we cannot firmly guarantee a success rate.
Does Tend work on contingency, or for a percentage of successful grants?
No, we don’t work on contingency. In order to be fair, transparent and meet the industry’s highest standards, we work on a sliding flat fee basis.
My organization doesn’t have financial statements, can you connect us to an accountant?
Yes! We would be happy to connect you with a CPA who specializes in charitable compliance with the CRA.
Will you identify grant opportunities for our organization, or do we need to bring an established grant pipeline?
We will collaborate with you to develop a diversified range of grant opportunities, prospecting for new opportunities and we will work with you to hone and polish those opportunities you already have in mind.
Will you help us for a one-off project or support us to work on a single grant application?
While we typically don’t take on individual applications, we occasionally support clients with a one-time project. Get in touch with us to discuss your needs further.
